HOME STYLE. Rustic-style, custom-built farmhouse is situated on four acres in a beautiful rural, country setting. This private, retreat-like home features very comfortable furniture, high-end appliances, fixtures, and amenities in the common areas as well as in each rental room. Property is located 1/2-mile off paved road on a well-maintained dirt road.
VIEW TYPE. Panoramic mountain views; Property located in the low Sierra foothills, high desert region of the Antelope Valley in Southern California.
FOOD, BEVERAGES AND MEALS. No meals are provided by Dancing Coyote Farm. Renters have full, shared-use of the Chef's Kitchen to prepare their own meals. Each renter is assigned a personal kitchen cabinet for dry goods storage and a personal section in the keeping and freezer compartments of the kitchen's refrigerator.
PREFERRED RENTERS. Mature, solid medical, service, and business professionals, male and female. Couples okay. Unfortunately, the Farmhouse and its rental rooms are not suitable for children of any age and we do not allow pets at this time. Thank you for understanding.
All Renters will enjoy use of the Farmhouse's common areas, features and amenities listed below.
Sun, Heat, Rain, Hail, Snow, Cold... Our rent included features and amenities will keep you smiling! The 425 square foot, self-contained Desert Rose Suite – which can sleep two – is fully furnished and includes the following highlights and amenities.
There isn't any public transportation here. Approximate costs for ride share/shuttle rates: Local LAX airport pick-up available for $150.00+/- per person, each way. Burbank Airport $75.00+/- per person, each way. Renters will have to make their own arrangements with the shuttle services. The closest, full service train station is Santa Clarita; shuttle fee approx. $45.00 per person, each way. At this time there isn't any Uber or Lyft service in the Acton/Agua Dulce area that we know of. Prices are approximate and change frequently.
Driving to, or departing from, Dancing Coyote Farm. A few destinations that are good to know about. All miles and times are approximate.
Wildlife Viewing. Use our wildlife guidebooks on the property and make friends with the variety of colorful birds and critters that call our farm home. We're striving toward restoring the land to its original diverse form while trying to support our food needs. Squirrels, raccoons, and rabbits forage our grounds while California quail, bluebirds, woodpeckers, red tail hawks, and more, soar overhead.
You'll probably even catch sight of coyotes and bobcats while here — but, keep your distance... don't try to make friends with them!! Our, "We've sited it!" list keeps growing, as do the flora we keep adding to the property. A MUST: This is true country living, always keep your eyes open when you're hiking or biking, especially at dawn and dusk.
NOTE: You'll want to have some warm clothes year 'round. The Farmhouse is situated at about 3,445 ft. elevation. Nights at anytime of the year can be chilly or down right cold! During winter we do have snow, usually just a couple of inches — boy, it sure is beautiful out here!
